Making the frames took about a week and a half, got one done a day, I then started working the white oak for the keel supports and the cockpit sides. Before setting up the strongback I also assembled the side panels before i would run out of space.

With the frames finished it was time to start setting up the strongback which i glued down to the train tracks running thru my shop.

Assembling Station and Frames

  Next came organizing and cleaning up parts to start assembling frames. Everything was held in place with Cauls and clamps.  West system used throughout. When working with epoxy I wet out the pieces twice and let it really soak into the grain.

Milling Parts on CNC

 Aug 25, 2020 Final cuts being made for enough parts to get me going.  Mostly all the frame stock and i would pick up the Planking at a later date.  Material used from the frame parts was native maine spruce.  Ordered the CNC file cutting kit and i had the kit cut out locally here in Scarborough ME.  Getting the rights to use the file one time only was an extra cost that I believe is not available at this time.  August 29, 2020   Once I had all the parts in the shop the actual building could begin.
